Day 2 | Tbilisi-Sighnaghi-David Gareja-Tbilisi Breakfast at the hotel. City Tour in Sighnaghi:The city is famous for its fortress which is on the list of the most famous and largest castles in Georgia. Visit to Bodbe, bathing in the holy spring. Here at the Cathedral of St. George are preserved remains of the great forerunner Nino Kabadokiyskoy of the Christian era. Way to David Gareja - visiting the unique monastic complex, scientific and educational center (6th AD) founded by the Christian Father St. David. Being the center of religious and cultural life in the past, today these sites surprise us with their architectural design and unique murals of the 10th-11th c. Way to Tbilisi. Lunch during the tour. Day 3 | Tbilisi - Mtskheta – Tbilisi Breakfast at the hotel. Tbilisi City Tour: Old Tbilisi, Shota Rustaveli avenue (the famous street of Tbilisi) Metekhi Church (13th c.), Narikhala fortress (4th c.), monument 'Kartlis Father' ("Mother Georgia"), monument to Vakhtang Gorgosali, founder of Tbilisi. Tbilisi Funicular at Mount Mtatsminda, where the whole city is seen as the palm. Then drive to Mtskheta, capital and religion center of East Georgian kingdom from 4th c. B.C. to 5th c. A.D., visit to Jvari monastery (6thc.), Shio-Mgvime medieval monastic complex and Svetitskhoveli cathedral (11th c.), included in UNESCO’s World Heritage List. Way to Tbilisi. Lunch during the tour. Day 4 | Tbilisi-Kazbegi-Kutaisi Breakfast at the hotel. Way to Kazbegi. Visit to Gergethi Trinity Church (14 th c.), situated under Mount Kazbegi at a height of 2200m above sea level, walking towards Dariali Canyon. Gveletsky waterfall. Sno fortress. Amazing views of Mount Kazbegi and much more. Drive to Kutaisi. On the way, visit to Ananuri fortress and Gori, city where Stalin was born. Lunch during the tour in Georgian family. Day 5 | Kutaisi-Imereti-Kutaisi Breakfast at the hotel. This town in western Georgia is located on both banks of the river Rioni. City Tour in Kutaisi. Day 6 | Kutaisi-Borjomi-Bakuriani-Borjomi Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to SPA city Borjomi. Borjomi is famous for its unique natural and mineral springs where you can taste the water from natural sources. Visit to Stalin's summer residence in the town of Borjomi, Timotesubani Cathedral (13th c.). Climb (with lift) to the top of the Kokhta mountain (2100m). Walking through the Kharagauli National Park. Day 7 | Bakuriani - Vardzia - Bavra border – Lori Breakfast at the hotel. Way to Javakheti province. Visit to Khertvisi fortress and cave monastic complex of Vardzia (12 th c.). Transfer to Armenian-Georgian border in Bavra .Meeting at the Bavra border (30-45 minutes max. with passport control). Day 9 | Old Dilijan- Haghartsin -Lake Sevan –Sevanavank-Yerevan Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to Old Dilijan town which is a famous resort with excellent quality of air. Visit to Haghartsin Monastery (10th -13th c.) hidden in a grove of ancient trees high up in the mountains. Visit to Lake Sevan, one of the largest high-altitude lakes in the world. The lake was at an altitude of 1,950 m above sea level. Sevan is famous for its different kinds of fish, particular for ishkhan, which means “princely fish”. Day 11 | Yerevan-Khor Virap-Areni-Noravank-Goris Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to Khor Virap - the most famous pilgrimage site in Armenia, where St. Gregory the Illuminator was imprisoned for 13 years for preaching the Christianity. Armenia was the first country to adopt Christianity as a state religion in 301 A.D. Enjoy the best view of Biblical Ararat Mountain. Day 12 | Goris-Tatev-Karahunge-Yerevan Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to Tatev Monastery(9th c.), one of the largest and the most famous monasteries in Armenia. Possibility to get to Tatev monastery by “Wings of Tatev” ropeway which is the world’s longest ropeway. The Guinness Book of World Records representative Karim Valerio officially declared “Tatev’s Wings,” which opened on October 23, 2010, the world’s longest ropeway. Visit to "Devil’s Bridge", one of the Armenia's natural marvels on the Vorotan River. Visit to Karahunge (Armenian Stonehenge), one of the oldest observatories in the world. Day 14 | Yerevan – Hripsime – Echmiadzin – Zvartnots – Yerevan Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to St. Hripsime Church (7thc.), St. Echmiadzin Cathedral (founded at the beginning of the 4th c.) – The spiritual centre of Armenian Apostolic church. On the way back visit to Zvartnots Cathedral (7 th c.). Lunch during the tour in Echmiadzin. Return to Yerevan. Good-bye dinner at the Armenian traditional restaurant with folk music.
