Jermuk resort is popular since Soviet Union period.
Jermuk is famous for its unique fresh water and mineral springs. Hyper thermal mineral waters of Jermuk are similar in composition to world-known mineral waters of Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic.
Winters abound in snow; the ski season lasts from mid-December to mid-March, which allows everyone to enjoy brilliant opportunities of this winter resort for a long time. Here, everything is provided for guest’s leisure: sports equipment rental, experienced instructors, gym, billiards, table tennis, recreation centers, restaurants, cafes, etc. Up to the top of mountain Shish runs two-seater chairlift (800 people/p.hour). The lift rises to an altitude of 2450m, from where two well-groomed trails start: one for beginners (1400 m), the other for professionals (1300 m).The rescue service on the mountain will give first aid in case of need. Comfortable and cozy café located on the top of mountain is perfect place to get warm drinking a cup of tea or to taste Armenian cuisine dishes.
Unlike Tsakhkadzor, Jermuk is windless and the city is ideal for family rest.
From Yerevan to Jermuk is 178 km. In wintertime , the road will take two and a half hours.
