Lake Sevan - “Blue Pearl” of Armenia is the largest lake in the Caucasus and one of the largest freshwater mountainous lakes in the world. Its area - 1400 square km and is located at an altitude of 1900 m above sea level. The lake is of volcanic formation, and is surrounded by mountain ranges that reach up to 3000 m.
“Akhtamar” ski center is located on the picturesque slopes of mountains Mashtotsner and Bekarner, where winter sport loversare offered excellent facilities in accordance with best international standards.
For skiers there are all conditions for their favorite sport. 1130m long cable car equipped with 4-seat chair, reaches the top of the mountain, offering spectacular views of Lake Sevan. The capacity is 800 people/p.hour. Around the ski resort various cafes, bars are located. Ski season runs from late November to mid-March. Ropeway by Italian company Leitner.
